About Penjing
Penjing is the art of creating a miniature "landscape in a pot". The word consists of two characters: "pen" - "basin", and "jing" - "scenery". Also known as "Bonsai" in Japanese, this living art which originated in China thousands of years ago is the pinnacle of gardening skills. These timeless trees require great skills and attention to preserve. Despite their size, Penjing conserves the characteristics of full-grown trees.

About Us
Penjing Asset Management (Asia) Limited is an alternative asset management firm specialising in hedge fund investments. Founded by an ex-UBS team in 2005 when the Asian hedge fund industry was at a nascent stage, Penjing has one of Asia's largest, dedicated and most experienced hedge fund research teams. The investment team has an average tenure of 17 years in the fund of hedge funds ("FoHF") industry and key members have been collaborating for over 10 years.

Our FoHF programme offers investors a range of risk-return profiles to suit their unique investment objectives. Since the launch of our flagship fund in 2005, we have extended to our investors "market independent", "equity directional" and "long only" solutions along the asset class and risk-return spectrum. Our award-winning team is supported by highly experienced investment and operational due diligence specialists, delivering consistent track record through market cycles.
Acceleration and Seeding
Leveraging our experience and track record in identifying and propelling early stage hedge funds through our FoHF programmes, we continued to evolve with the needs of our investors to capitalize on hedge fund seeding and acceleration opportunities in Asia. Within a diverse industry populated with smaller/younger managers, our local presence and focus have and continue to be translated to value-added to our investors.

In addition to commingled funds, we also provide customized solutions to institutional and family office investors.
